Uses
Apo-Moclobemide (Moclobemide) is an antidepressant with is used in drug therapy for patients affected by a range of depressive disorders, including psychotic depression, bipolar depression and reactive depression. It has also been used for dysthymia, social phobia, panic disorder and other related conditions. Medical experts believe that it works by acting on monoamines (such as dopamine, serotonin and noradrenaline) in the brain, which may help to relieve depression. This drug has been the focus of medical research which studied other potential uses, including helping people quit smoking, treating Alzheimer's disease, cognitive impairment, ADHD, migraine and other conditions.

The tablets must be swallowed whole with water, and it is necessary to take it after a meal. Doctors generally individualise the dosage, and the usually dosage range is between 150mg and 600mg per day, however, patients are usually told to start out with 300mg as a daily dosage.
