Uses
Cosopt (Timolol Maleate/Dorzolamide Hydrochloride) eye drops contain 2 active ingredients which work together to treat glaucoma and ocular hypertension, especially when other eye drops cannot effectively control pressure in the eye. Reducing and controlling pressure in the eyes helps to prevent serious or permanent damage to the eyes. These eye drops contain timolol maleate, which is a type of beta blocker, and dorzolamide hydrochloride, which is a type of carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. Together, the 2 ingredients help to reduce the production of fluid in the eye, which in turn leads to a reduction of pressure inside the eye.
