Uses
Pimafucort Cream (Hydrocortisone/Natamycin/Neomycin) is applied topically to treat itching and other unpleasant symptoms associated with broad range of dermatoses, when a bacterial or fungal infection is also present. This cream contains a weak corticosteroid (hydrocortisone) which helps to suppress itching and other symptoms in patients affected by dermatoses.
In addition to this, it also contains neomycin (an antibiotic). This helps to treat bacterial infections, including those caused by certain types of gram-positive bacteria (enterococci and staphylococci). It is also effective against klebsiella, E. coli and proteus bacteria (types of gram-negative bacteria). The final ingredient in this cream (natamycin) helps to treat candida fungal infections.
Dosage and Administration
If you are affected by itching or another condition that can be treated with corticosteroids, and a secondary infection is also present, your doctor may recommend Pimafucort Cream (Hydrocortisone/Natamycin/Neomycin) as a treatment for your condition, and if so, you will be given application instructions. In most cases, treatment does not last for more than 14 days. The cream is generally recommended for hairy areas of skin or skin folds. Generally, doctors instruct patients to apply the cream to the area in need of treatment 2 to 4 times per day. Never apply more than the amount recommended by your doctor.
