Eflora

Uses
Eflora Cream (Eflornithine Hydrochloride) is used by female patients to slow down undesirable hair growth. It is used to manage the condition, but does not permanently remove hair or cure the patient of further hair growth. Patients usually use this medication in combination with other treatments.

Dosage and Administration
Always use Eflora Cream (Eflornithine Hydrochloride) as prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate.

Typically the cream is administered twice a day with a gap of at least 8 hours. Always wash your hands using soap both before, and after applying Eflora. After the cream has been applied and absorbed into your skin you can use cosmetics or sun screen as you wish.

Patients usually begin to notice improvements after 4 to 8 weeks of proper use. If, after 6 months you have not noticed any decrease in hair growth, consult your doctor.

After application, do not wash the treated area of skin or excessively sweat for at least 4 hours.

Side effects
Patients usually experience only temporary symptoms whilst taking Eflora Cream (Eflornithine Hydrochloride). Report all side effects to your doctor. These may include:

• Skin irritation
• Skin rashes
• Redness
• Burning sensations
• Stinging sensations
• Tingling sensations
• Folliculitis (bumps)

If any side effects worsen or bother you, discontinue use of the cream and consult your doctor.

Seek emergency medical attention if you have an allergic or hypersensitive reaction to the cream.

Precautions
Eflora Cream (Eflornithine Hydrochloride) is for external use only. Never apply to any skin which is broken, cut, burnt, or damaged in any way. Avoid applying too near to the eyes, mouth, nose, or ears.

Inform you doctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding before you begin using this medication.

Before using this medication, disclose full details of any allergies you have, any other existing medical conditions or illnesses you suffer from, any notable personal or family medical history, in addition to details of any other type of medication you are taking, whether prescription or non-prescription, and including all dietary supplements or herbal products.
