Uses
Stugeron (Cinnarizine) is an antihistamine medication which is used to control and prevent symptoms of travel sickness, including nausea, vomiting and dizziness. This medicine blocks the action of the histamine receptors in the brain's vomiting centre, thereby preventing disturbances from causing vomiting and other motion sickness symptoms. In some cases, this medicine may be used to treat Meniere's disease symptoms (such as tinnitus) and other disorders affecting the inner ear.

Dosage and Administration
Stugeron (Cinnarizine) comes as tablets, which are taken in combination with water. Patients should note that a visit to the doctor is necessary, so that the proper dosage can be determined. It is unsafe to exceed the recommended dosage. For some patients, the prescribed amount may differ, due to the fact that the correct dosage can vary, based on the medical history of the patient.

Side effects
Although Stugeron (Cinnarizine) is considered to be effective at preventing travel sickness symptoms, in some cases it may cause side effects. However, not all patients will experience adverse reactions. Some possible side effects include:

• Feeling tired or drowsy

Precautions
Alcohol increases the risk of drowsiness. Because of this, your doctor may tell you not to drink any beverages containing alcohol while you are using this drug.
