Uses
Zifi (Cefixime) is a cephalosporin antibiotic which is effective at treating infections caused by bacteria. This type of antibiotic is related to penicillin. Conditions treated include gonorrhea, pneumonia, pyelonephritis, infections of the sinuses and nasal passages, ear infections and other infections not listed here. The active ingredient in this medicine treats the infections by causing holes in the bacteria's cell walls, leading to the eventual destruction of the bacteria responsible for the infection.

Adult patients treating gonorrhoea have been told to take it for periods ranging from 1 to 10 days.
