Apo-Folic (Folic Acid) is a B vitamin which is taken for a wide range of purposes. This vitamin is important maintaining the health of the nervous system, and is also important for helping red blood cells to be formed by the body. Pregnant women and those trying to conceive often take it for its benefits in helping with the development of a healthy baby. Another use for this product is treating anaemia (a condition caused by a lack of red blood cells), and folic acid deficiency occurring as a result of kidney dialysis, medical treatment or other causes.
Dosage and Administration
Patients who have been advised or directed by their doctor to take Apo-Folic (Folic Acid) should ask their doctor about the correct dosage. If you are taking folic acid during pregnancy, it is possible that a dosage of 400mcg (micrograms) daily will be prescribed, however, this may vary depending on the woman's health. These tablets each contain 5mg of the active ingredient, and are only suitable for certain pregnant women. The advice of a doctor must be sought prior to taking this vitamin supplement.
