Uses
Avodart (Dutasteride) is effective in treating the symptoms of an enlarged prostate in men. It helps to reduce the size of the enlarged prostate, which in turn relieves symptoms caused by this condition, such as difficulty urinating or frequent urination, while at the same time possibly reducing the requirement for surgery. Many male patients use this drug to treat hair loss. Studies have been conducted which show that it can be beneficial in helping with the growth of hair.
Dosage and Administration
Follow the instructions provided by your doctor when taking Avodart (Dutasteride). If you are treating an enlarged prostate, your doctor may tell you to take 0.5mg per day. Do not take more than the amount prescribed by your doctor.
