Uses
Choriomon contains the active ingredient Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin or HCG. Choriomon is suitable for intravenous or subcutaneous injection. It can used to treat infertile women by increasing ovulation, or can be used as a weight loss medicine to treat obesity.
Dosage and Administration
Each pack of Choriomon contains two seperate vials - one containing the active ingredient as a powder form, the other containing the water and preservative required for injection.
Choriomon is suitable for injection into the muscle (intramuscular injection) or under the skin (subcutaneous injection).
To prepare Choriomon for injection, follow these steps:
- draw the liquid into the syringe
- inject the liquid into the ampoule containing the powder
- thoroughly mix these together until the powder is completely dissolved
- draw the mixed solution back into the syringe
A fresh needle shoule be used for injecting the solution into the patient, making sure to remove any air bubbles from the liquid.
Once the powder and solution are mixed, it must be refrigerated at all times and used within 40 days.
Side effects
Some side effects can occur while taking Choriomon. Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following:

- Asthma
- Depression
- Early onset puberty
- Edema
- Epilepsy
- Fatigue
- Gynecomastia
- Heart disease
- Kidney disease
- Migraines
- Ovarian cyst
- Rash
- Sensitivity
Precautions
Before using Choriomon, tell your doctor if you suffer from any of the below conditions:
- hormone related tumors
- ovarian cysts
- kidney disease
- asthma
- allergies to any of the ingredients
- thyroid or adrenal disorders
- early puberty
Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (HCG) may not be a suitable treatment in these cases, or you may require a dosage adjustment of Choriomon (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin or HCG).
