Uses
Flucon Eye Drops (Fluorometholone) come in the form of an ophthalmic solution. This product is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory conditions affecting the eyes which are responsive to corticosteroids. It is generally prescribed when the condition is not infected, and has frequently been used after laser refractive eye surgery. The main ingredient in these medicated eye drops is a type of corticosteroid, similar to those that the adrenal gland naturally produces. When applied to the eyes, it can help to control the inflammatory response and decrease redness, leading to relief from the discomfort caused by the condition.

Dosage and Administration
You will need to see your doctor prior to beginning treatment with Flucon Eye Drops (Fluorometholone) so that the condition can be properly diagnosed. These eye drops will only be used if your doctor is sure that the condition is susceptible to corticosteroid treatment.

Generally, the dosage that doctors recommend to patients ranges from 1 to 2 drops (into whichever eye is in need of treatment, if both eyes are affected, then the drops are applied to both eyes), 2 to 4 times per day. Your doctor will also tell you when to stop using the eye drops. Prior to application, you must ensure that your hands are clean and dry. It is also important to shake the bottle well before use and to close the cap properly after use.

Side effects
In most cases, patients who experience side effects after application of Flucon Eye Drops (Fluorometholone) report symptoms that affect the eyes or the area surrounding them. A list of some examples is provided here:

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
