Topical treatment for male pattern baldness | Minoxidil, Finasteride | Morr-F |
Uses
Morr-F (Minoxidil/Finasteride) is indicated for treating male pattern hair loss (baldness) in adult men. It is produced using a combination of ingredients which are proven to benefit hair growth. Minoxidil was originally used as a vasodilator, to treat hypertension. However, medical research showed that when applied topically, in addition to increasing the thickness and density of hair, it could also trigger an improvement in hair growth. Its therapeutic effects are believed to be due to it normalizing the hair follicles, so as to allow for new growth, and also increasing the flow of blood to the scalp.
Finasteride is normally administered orally in tablet form to promote hair growth in men with alopecia androgenetica. Its mechanism of action for baldness (MPB) is preventing the hormone testosterone from being converted to DHT (dihydrotestosterone, the hormone responsible for androgen activity in the scalp). This may help promote hair growth. However, some people have also applied it topically to the scalp. Medical studies have shown that when applied topically to the scalp as a solution, it was able to reduce the serum dihydrotestosterone concentration.
