Uses
Natak Eye Drops contain the antifungal Natamycin (5%) in an opthalmic solution 5%. Natak is used to treat certain fungal conditions of the eye such as fungal blepharitis, conjunctivitis, and keratitis caused by susceptible organisms including Fusarium solani keratitis.
Dosage and Administration
Natak Eye Drops contain 5mL of opthalmic solution containing 50mg of natamycin. Included is a dropper for easy application.
Natamycin Eye Drops are usually administered at a starting dose of one drop every one to two hours. This can then be reduced to one drop every three to four hours after a few days, or when treatment is progressing well. It usually takes 14-21 days of use for Natamycin to completely treat the problem.
Before applying the eye drops, wash your hands thoroughly. Pull out your lower eyelid which will create a small pocket to drop the liquid into. Drop only a single drop for each application. To avoid contamination, avoid allowing the dropper to come into contact the eye and wash your hands well afterwards.

Precautions
Pregnant or breast-feeding women should only use Natak eye drops under supervision of a doctor.
Patients with known or suspected allergies or hypersensitivity to eye drops or antifungals should check with their doctor before using natamycin.
Regular check-ups are often needed to monitor progress of the infection in the eye. It is important that you do not stop taking the drops if you're eye feels better. Your doctor will be able to tell you when to stop taking the drops.
