Uses
Oframax Injection (Ceftriaxone) is administered to treat many different types of bacterial infection. Oframax has broad spectrum activity against many different types of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and is considerably stable to the majority of most beta-lactameses (cephalosporinases and penicillinases) of gram-negative and gram positive bacteria. Conditions can include gonorrhoea, pelvic inflammatory disease, meningitis, as well as infections that affect the joints, abdomen, bones, urinary tract, blood, lungs, ear, skin and soft tissue. Other uses include the treatment of endocarditis, Lyme disease, chancroid, shigella, typhoid fever, Whipple's disease and various other conditions.
Dosage and Administration
Always use Oframax Injection (Ceftriaxone) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on the patient's individual circumstances, a different dosage may be required. Treatment will continue for as long as deemed necessary by the prescribing doctor. In all cases, the dosage required will be the responsibility of the doctor providing the treatment.

Serious reactions are also possible, and will require medical care immediately. Examples of this include seizures, decreased urination, bloody stools and other possible reactions which have not been listed here.
Precautions
Patients with kidney problems may need to have their kidney function monitored during treatment. Also, this medicine should not be mixed with any products which contain calcium, as this could cause a serious reaction.
Antibiotics can sometimes cause bowel inflammation. If you notice severe diarrhoea, either during or after treatment, you must inform your doctor straight away.
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
