Uses
Tambocor (Flecainide) is a type of medicine called a class IC anti-arrhythmic. Its mode of action involves affecting the way the heart beats, which makes it suitable for treating or preventing serious conditions related to heart rhythm, such as symptomatic ventricular tachycardia, arrhythmias and other related conditions. By reducing the heart's sensitivity to electrical impulses, disturbances and irregular heartbeats can be prevented and treated.

Dosage and Administration
The dosage of Tambocor (Flecainide) that your doctor will prescribe for you depends on the exact condition which you are treating. Adults taking this medicine for ventricular tachycardia may be directed to take an initial dose of 100mg every 12 hours. The prescribing doctor may decide to increase the patient's dosage, and a maintenance dose may then be prescribed. Artrial fibrillation is usually treated with 50mg taken every 12 hours, which may also be increased. It is necessary to follow all instructions provided by your doctor during the course of treatment.

Side effects
Patients taking Tambocor (Flecainide) may experience side effects, such as:

Although this drug can treat or have certain positive effects on patients affected by irregular heartbeats, it is also possible that a new type of irregular heartbeat may be caused by taking this drug.
