Uses
Validol (Validolum or Menthyl Isovalerate) is an anxiolytic that also produces a sedative effect. Validol also produces a moderate reflex and vascular dilative action. It is produced from valerian root and menthol. Validol can be used in cases of anxiety, nervousness, panic attacks, hysteria, rapid heart beat, chest pain, hyperventilation, nausea, and motion sickness. It is very fast-acting, exhibiting its effect in under five minutes.
Dosage and Administration
Validol comes in a pack of 20 x 100mg sublingual tablets.
Validol tablets are designed to be dissolved under the tongue (sublingual tablets). They should not be chewed or swallowed.
Take 1 to 2 tablets as required. Do not exceed a maximum dose of 10 tablets per day. How often you take the tablets will depend on the severity of your condition and how well you react to Validol.
You should notice Validol having an effect within five minutes of taking the tablet. You may need to repeat the dose if it is not working as expected.
Precautions
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
