Xet (Paroxetine) is referred to as a 5-hydroxytryptamine inhibitor or SSRI. It is considered to be different from tetracyclic, tricyclic and other antidepressant medications. It is used in the treatment of depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders (such as GAD) and its inhibition of serotonin (a neurotransmitter) uptake in the brain.

Dosage and Administration
Xet (Paroxetine) is normally taken once daily or as directed by your physician. The medication is normally taken once daily with a full glass of water and may be taken on an empty stomach. Always swallow the tablets whole and unaltered as splitting or crushing them may destroy or alter the effects of their contents. It should be noted that it may take several weeks of regular use before the desired effects of the medication are seen.

Side effects
