Uses
Anastrazole (Anastrozole) is prescribed to post menopausal women to treat breast cancer or breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. In some cases, it may be used in combination with surgery or other treatments. Patients whose cancer has progressed after treatment with Tamoxifen may be treated with this drug. This medication works by reducing the body`s production of oestrogen (a female hormone), thereby slowing or preventing the growth of tumours which need oestrogen in order to grow.
