Uses
Clofert-50 (Clomifene Citrate) (also commonly spelled clomiphene) is a type of drug called an ovulatory stimulant, which is taken by women to treat infertility. It can help to stimulate ovulation by affecting the way in which the female hormone oestrogen acts. Many medical professionals prescribe this drug to men to increase the sperm count and fertility, and it is widely considered to be an effective treatment for male hypogonadism.

Dosage and Administration
Clofert-50 (Clomifene Citrate) comes in the form of 50mg tablets. All patients, whether male or female must consult their doctor before taking this drug so that the correct dosage can be determined. Female patients wishing to induce ovulation are sometimes told to one clomiphene 50mg tablet per day for a period of 5 days, with the first dose normally taken around day 5 of their cycle. You should try to take it at the same time every day. The dosage for male patients is different, and will be determined by the prescribing doctor.

Side effects
Clofert-50 (Clomifene Citrate) has been associated with causing side effects in some patients who take it. It is possible that you may notice some of the following:

• Flushing
• Stomach upset
• Breast pain or discomfort
• Uterine bleeding
• Changes in vision

In some cases, OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome) has occured in patients treated with this drug. This condition can be serious, or even fatal. Ask your doctor about the risks of this occurring before you begin treatment with this drug.

Precautions
Patients suffering from ovarian cists, enlarged ovaries, vaginal bleeding, liver disease, thyroid problems, adrenal gland conditions or tumours should consult their doctor before using this medication, as it may not be suitable for them.

There is a possibility that this medication can increase the likelihood of multiple births, such as twins or triplets. Ask your doctor if you are concerned about this.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Clofert-50 (Clomifene Citrate) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
