Uses
Doverin (Drotaverine) is an anti-spasmodic muscle relaxant commonly prescribed for patients suffering from renal colic, as well as to accelerate labour in pregnant women. When used in combination with mefenamic acid it can reduce pain during hysteroscopy and endometrial biopsy. In addition it can be used alongside rimantadine to treat influenza type A and B.
Dosage and Administration

A typical dose for adults is between 40mg and 80mg taken up to 3 times per day. Dosage for children is usually around half the dosage prescribed for adult patients.
Tablets should be swallowed whole without being crushed, split, or dissolved into water. Dosing can be done either with or without food.
