Uses
Glyciphage-P 15 (Pioglitazone/Metformin) is used together with a specially planned diet and exercise regime to control high blood sugar levels in patients suffering from non-insulin dependent diabetes (more commonly referred to as type 2 diabetes). This drug is a combination of two active ingredients, both of which work together to restore the body's natural response to insulin. In addition to this, this drug can also reduce the amount of sugar produced by the liver and absorbed by the body. It is important to note that this medication will not treat type 1 diabetes.
