Uses
Infacol Oral Suspension (Simethicone) is an anti-foaming suspension which helps to relieve flatulence and trapped wind in infants. It can also treat griping pain and infant colic. When babies swallow air, trapped wind can occur. This product acts locally in the stomach and helps to gather all of the small air bubbles which may have become trapped in the stomach. As a result of this, larger bubbles are formed, thereby making it easier to get rid of the air by means of burping or releasing gas. Wind, colic or griping pain can thereby be relieved.

Dosage and Administration
Infacol Oral Suspension (Simethicone) should be used in strict accordance with the instructions of a doctor. Each ml of the suspension contains 40mg of the main ingredient, and a special dropper is provided to help with administration. Doctors usually recommend a dose of 0.5ml, administered prior to each feed. The suspension should be released onto your baby's tongue with the dropper. If the colic is still affecting the baby after 3 to 4 days, the doctor may recommend increasing the dose to 1ml. Should your baby's condition fail to improve, it should be taken to the doctor.

Side effects
Infacol Oral Suspension (Simethicone) does not usually cause side effects. If your baby becomes sick, take it to a doctor straight away.

Precautions
Should you forget to administer any doses, just wait until the next feed before giving the next one.

Only use this product as instructed by the doctor.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Infacol Oral Suspension (Simethicone) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
