Uses
Losec (Omeprazole Magnesium) is prescribed for use either on its own or together with other drugs to treat a variety of conditions. Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a condition in which acid flowing backwards from the stomach can cause heartburn or injury to the oesophagus. This drug may treat this condition, and prevent the oesophagus from being damaged. Conditions in which the stomach produces excessive amounts of acid are also treated with this drug, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This drug may also be used to treat or prevent ulcers, and to prevent acid indigestion.
Dosage and Administration
