Uses
P-Carzine (Procarbazine HCL) is used as a treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma (sometimes known as Hodgkin's disease). In some cases, doctors may prescribe it for use in combination with other chemotherapy drugs. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called hydrazine derivatives. It works by preventing cancer cells from growing, while at the same time preventing the creation of new cancer cells. The active ingredient in this drug may also act as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. Other uses for this drug include treating small cell lung cancer, mycosis fungoides, brain tumours and other types of lymphomas.
Dosage and Administration
P-Carzine (Procarbazine HCL) capsules are taken orally. You must see your doctor before beginning treatment, so that the correct dosage can be prescribed. The dosage prescribed will depend on your weight, as well as other factors, such as the severity of the condition being treated, and the other medication being taken. Only take the amount prescribed by your doctor, and never exceed the recommended dosage. Your doctor will most likely advise you not to stop taking this drug, even if vomiting occurs.

Precautions
In extremely rare cases, patients suffering from cancer who have been treated with this drug have developed other types of cancer. The risk of this is increased in patients who have undergone specific types of radiation therapy or chemotherapy. Ask your doctor if you are concerned about this.
This drug should never be taken with certain types of anti-depressants, such as MAO inhibitors, and may other types of this medication, as doing so may cause a serious interaction.
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
Always use P-Carzine (Procarbazine HCL) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.
