Uses
Pilocar Eye Drops (Pilocarpine Nitrate) are prescribed by doctors to patients affected by glaucoma, to treat their condition. This condition causes pressure in the eye, which could possibly lead to a loss of vision, blindness or even damage to the nerves.
When administered to the eye, this ophthalmic solution causes a reduction in pressure inside the eye. It achieves this by causing a reduction in the size of the pupil, thereby moving the iris further away from the channels inside the eye required for fluid drainage. Improving the drainage of fluid inside the eye results in a reduction in pressure.
