Shaltop-A Solution (Minoxidil/Tretinoin/Azelaic Acid) is a hair loss treatment for males affected by androgenetic alopecia (often referred to as male pattern baldness). It contains minoxidil, which has been shown to promote the growth of new hair in balding men, and can also stop shedding. This is believed to occur due to it dilating certain blood vessels in the scalp, which in turn leads to an increase in blood flow to the follicle and an enlargement of the hair follicle, resulting in the stimulation of hair growth.

In order to boost its effectiveness, this topical hair loss treatment also contains tretinoin, a form of vitamin A which has been shown to help with hair loss. Azelaic acid is also included, as it has been shown to enhance and improve the positive effects of minoxidil.

Dosage and Administration
Shaltop-A Solution (Minoxidil/Tretinoin/Azelaic Acid) is applied topically to the scalp. Your doctor will tell you the right amount to apply, as well as the recommended daily dosage. It is important to be aware that a few months of treatment may be needed before an improvement in hair growth will be noticed on the scalp. Also, patients who experience regrowth after treatment will need to continue applying the solution as directed, otherwise any newly grown hair will be lost.

Side effects

• Flaky scalp
• Itchy scalp
• Burning sensation

Precautions
If you are due to go swimming, it is necessary to wait until the solution is fully dry before entering the water.
