Uses
Strattera (Atomoxetine) works by increasing noradrenaline levels in the brain, and is used to treat attention deficit hyperactive disorder (more commonly referred to as ADHD). Treatment with this drug has been proven to control ADHD, and improve behaviour and concentration in patients affected by this condition. In addition to being given this drug, patients may also undergo counselling and behavioural therapy.
Dosage and Administration
Patients who have been diagnosed with ADHD and told by their doctor to take Strattera (Atomoxetine) as a treatment for their condition will be given precise dosage instructions by their doctor on the correct amount of medicine to take. These tablets contain 60mg of the active ingredient. Some patients will be instructed to start out by taking a low amount of medicine. The doctor will monitor the patient during treatment, and based on the response, the dosage may be adjusted.
