Uses
Wysolone (Prednisolone) is used to control many auto-immune disorders as well as inflammatory conditions. It is a corticosteroid which works by inhibiting the initial events that occur as part of an inflammatory response. Mediators of inflammation are released by mast cells as part of inflammatory reactions, resulting in vasodilation, pain and redness.

The immunosuppressant and anti-inflammation properties of this medicine help prevent leukotrienes, prostaglandins and interleukins (known to be mediators of inflammation) from being released. This is how it exhibits its mechanism of action. Conditions treated include allergies, asthma, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, inflammatory disorders affecting the skin, lupus, arthritis and other rheumatic conditions, endocrine disorders and many other medical conditions not listed here.

Dosage and Administration
Wysolone (Prednisolone) comes in tablet form, and the medicine content of each tablet is 10mg. However, the required daily dosage will differ significantly for each patient and it will be necessary for the doctor to tailor the dosage according to the needs of each individual, as well as their response to the medicine. Therefore, patients will be required to strictly comply with the instructions provided by their doctor and ensure that they only take the exact amount recommended at all times during treatment.

Side effects
Patients taking Wysolone (Prednisolone) should note that side effects are possible, such as:

• Acne
• Fatigue
• Sweating
• Mood alterations
• Difficulty sleeping

Precautions
