Uses
Arcolane Scalp Solution (Ketoconazole) is type of shampoo used to treat dandruff. itching, scaling and flaking that occur with dandruff can be reduced through regular use of Arcolane. Ketoconazole is sometimes used by men with hairloss with hair loss medicines (finasteride or dutasteride) as these work better when the scalp is clean. Ketoconazole is classified as an anti-fungal.
Dosage and Administration
Before applying Arcolane Scalp Solution (Ketoconazole) to the scalp and hair, make sure they are wet. A small amount of Arcolane shampoo should be massaged and lathered into hair and scalp making sure all areas are covered. Rinse the shampoo out of your hair with warm water. Depending on instructions from your doctor, you may need to re-apply. After the hair and scalp have been rinsed dry them thoroughly. Apply as often as prescribed.
Side effects
Some irritation of the scalp can occur when using Arcolane. Rash or pimple-like bumps may also develop. The scalp may become dry or oily. If you display any signs of allergy while using Arcolane, discontinue its use and contact your doctor.
Precautions
Arcolane Scalp Solution (Ketoconazole) should be used only when treating dandruff. It is not a substitute for regular shampoo.
If you are allergic to anti-fungal medicines, do not use Arcolane Scalp Solution (Ketoconazole).
