Uses
Azee 250 (Azithromycin) is used to treat various bacterial infections. It is an antibiotic of the macrolide type, and is sometimes also referred to as Azithromysin. This medication is not effective in treating viral infections. This antibiotic works by blocking the synthesis of RNA-dependent protein, which is achieved by binding to the ribosome of susceptible bacteria. As a result of this, the growth and replication of the bacteria responsible for the infection is blocked. When the infection is unable to spread, any bacteria which are leftover will be destroyed by the immune system, allowing the infection to heal.
Dosage and Administration
Azee 250 (Azithromycin) is supplied as 6 tablets, which contains 250mg of the active component. The dosage needed will be decided by your doctor, based on what condition needs treatment. It is important that patients taking antibiotic continue treatment for the entire period of time that their doctor deems necessary (unless the doctor provides instructions to the contrary), so that the infection can be fully treated.
