Uses
Benace (Benazepril) is prescribed for use on its own or in combination with other medications as a treatment for high blood pressure. Reducing high blood pressure can help to prevent serious health complications. This medicine is a type of ACE inhibitor (angiotensin converting enzyme). It lowers blood pressure by reducing certain chemicals which are responsible for tightening the blood vessels, thereby allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. This may lead to a reduction in blood pressure.
Dosage and Administration
Benace (Benazepril) tablets are administered orally, together with a glass of water. Generally speaking, adults are told to take this medication 1 to 2 times per day. It is possible that your doctor will tell you to begin with a low dosage, which may be adjusted, depending on your response to treatment. Remember that it can take 1 to 2 weeks before the full benefits of treatment with this drug are noticed. Inform your doctor if you do not notice any improvement in your condition or if it becomes worse.
