Uses
Corbis 2.5 (Bisoprolol Fumarate USP) is a drug which is used for cardiovascular diseases. Its mode of action involves affecting blood flow and the arteries. This hypertensive medicine is said to be a beta1-selective androceptor blocker (sometimes simply called a beta blocker). It may also inhibit beta-2 adrenoceptors. Medical researchers believe that its benefits in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) may have something to do with it affecting cardiac output, as well as the release of rennin and other factors. It can also act on the beta receptors and lower the pressure at which blood is pumped around the body.
Dosage and Administration
Corbis 2.5 (Bisoprolol Fumarate USP) is provided as tablets which are taken by mouth. Each one contains 2.5mg of medicine. Your doctor will need to tailor the dosage to suit your individual needs, as certain factors could affect the required dosage. Adults treating hypertension or angina are often directed to start out with 5mg, administered once per day. However adults affected by bronchospastic disease may be told to start out with 2.5mg per day. The doctor may adjust the dosage for maintenance treatment. However, you must only take the dosage prescribed.
