Depo-Medrol Injection

Uses
Depo-Medrol Injection (Methylprednisolone Acetate) is used to treat patients suffering from adrenal gland disorders. However, it may also be prescribed to treat types of arthritis, multiple sclerosis, severe asthma or allergies, ulcerative colitis, certain skin and eye problems, blood conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus.

Dosage and Administration
Depo-Medrol Injection (Methylprednisolone Acetate) is usually administered as an injection by a nurse or doctor at a clinic or hospital. If you are required to administer the injection yourself at home, you will need to attend demonstrations to show you how to correctly do so. Attend all check-up appointments while using this medication so your results can be tracked.

Side effects
Inform your doctor of any side effects you notice. Do so as soon as possible if any side effects worry you or persist. Possible side effects could include:

• Swelling or redness where injected
• Nausea
• Fatigue
• Headaches
• Acne
• Increased perspiration
• Increased appetite
• Insomnia

Precautions
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Depo-Medrol Injection (Methylprednisolone Acetate) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
