Uses
Dermol Cream (Clobetasol Propionate) is a corticosteroid cream that is applied to the skin for the treatment of allergies, eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus and other conditions. Patients are sometimes instructed to use this cream when other corticosteroids which are milder in nature have failed to produce satisfactory results. This cream works by lowering the actions of certain substances present in the body which can trigger swelling, redness and other symptoms, and is considered to be effective if used to treat skin that is scaly or dry.

Dosage and Administration
Patients treating symptoms of a skin condition with Dermol Cream (Clobetasol Propionate) need to listen carefully to the instructions given by their doctor. Adults being treated for dermatitis are sometimes told by their doctor to apply a thin layer of cream to the area requiring treatment twice per day. The cream should then be rubbed in, and the patient's hands washed. The application instructions for psoriasis or other conditions may vary slightly, and patients should only apply the amount of cream their doctor tells them to apply.

Side effects
Using Dermol Cream (Clobetasol Propionate) to treat skin conditions can sometimes cause side effects, such as:

• Spider veins
• An increased growth of hair
• Swelling of the hair follicles
• Thinner skin and possible stretch marks
• Discolouration of the skin at the treated area

Your doctor should be notified if any side effects occur. In rare cases, this cream may be absorbed through the skin and into the blood, which could lead to other side effects. If you experience changes in mood, increased body weight, fatigue or any other serious side effects, see your doctor immediately.

Precautions
This cream is not suitable for the treatment of rosacea, acne, chickenpox, herpes and viral skin infections, candidiasis and other fungal infections, impetigo and any infections caused by bacteria and skin conditions affecting the genital or anal area.

You will need to visit your doctor on a regular basis, to monitor your progress.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Dermol Cream (Clobetasol Propionate) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
