Uses
Flixonase (Fluticasone Propionate) is used to treat seasonal (occurring at certain times only) and perennial (year round) allergic and non-allergic rhinitis (a runny nose), and other nasal symptoms, including itchiness, congestion and sneezing. This nasal spray is a type of corticosteroid medication. It relieves nasal symptoms by helping to prevent and reduce inflammation in the nasal passages.
Dosage and Administration
Flixonase (Fluticasone Propionate) is administered by spraying it into the nose. You should always blow your nose gently prior to spraying it. The exact dosage varies, however, your doctor will probably direct you to take a high dosage to begin with, which may then be reduced. It is important to note that it can take as long as 12 hours after the first dose before this medication begins to work, and in addition to this, it may be several days before the full benefits are noticed.
