Uses
Gold KRILL (Euphausia Superba) is a supplement that is made from Antarctic krill oil. Krill is a type of crustacean found in the ocean that is similar in appearance to a shrimp. This oil contains Omega 3 fatty acids as well as astaxanthin, phosopholipids and other ingredients. Many people use it for its benefits in maintaining a healthy heart and circulation system, and it has been taken for heart disease, high cholesterol, hypertension, high triglyceride levels and cardiovascular problems. The fatty acids contained in the oil are similar to those found in fish oil.
These are referred to as essential fatty acids due to the fact that the body requires them for proper metabolism and other purposes but is unable to produce sufficient quantities. These fats may have benefits related to lowering cholesterol and preventing blood clots. Other types of omega 3 fatty acids which are found in krill oil, such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) can also benefit brain function and eyesight. Alternative uses for which people have taken krill oil supplements include PMS, strokes, depression, osteoarthritis, cognitive problems, ADHD and other conditions not listed here.
