Uses
Megabrom Eye Drops (Bromfenac) are used to provide relief from pain and to reduce swelling in the eyes occurring as a result of cataract surgery. Its active ingredient is a type of NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), which works by preventing the body from releasing substances which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation.
Dosage and Administration
Megabrom Eye Drops (Bromfenac) are applied directly to the eyes using the dropper that is provided. You need to carefully follow your doctor's instructions, and only apply the prescribed amount. Do not apply more of this ophthalmic solution than you have been told to. Adult patients are usually told to apply 1 drop into each affected eye every day. Treatment generally starts on the day before surgery, and should be continued for 14 days after surgery.
