Uses
Niflan (Pranoprofen) is used for blepharitis, conjunctivitis and keratitis. It works by reducing inflammation in the eyes. In some cases, it may also be given to patients to treat inflammation of the eyes caused by eye surgery. The main ingredient in this medicine is an NSAID which exhibits antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, and its mechanism of action is blocking the formation of prostaglandins (substances which act as mediators of inflammation), which in turn helps alleviate the symptoms of eye inflammation.

Dosage and Administration
Niflan (Pranoprofen) ophthalmic solution needs to be instilled to the eyes in strict accordance with the instructions given by your doctor. In some cases, adult patients may be directed by the doctor in charge of treatment to apply a total of 1 to 2 drops 4 times per day. The doctor will decide upon the duration of treatment. Ensure that your hands are clean before you use it, so as to avoid infection. Also, do not allow the dropper to touch any other surface.

Side effects
Use of Niflan (Pranoprofen) to treat conjunctivitis or any other condition may lead to certain side effects, which may include:

• Redness
• Itchy eyes
• Irritated eyes
• Swelling of the eyelid
• Feeling as if there is something in the eye

Any side effect you experience during treatment must be reported to your doctor. In addition to the reactions listed above, other side effects may also occur as a result of treatment. Medical attention will be required immediately if you suffer from any serious side effects.

Precautions
This ophthalmic solution is only to be used on the eyes in strict accordance with the instructions given to you by the doctor in charge of providing medical care. Never consume it orally, as doing so is harmful to your health.

Ensure that you properly store these eye drops and that they are kept at room temperature, away from the light of the sun.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Niflan (Pranoprofen) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
