Uses
Prandial 0.3 MD (Voglibose) is an oral alpha-glucosidase inhibitor prescribed to treat patients with type 2 diabetes. The medication controls blood glucose levels to prevent symptoms of hyperglycaemia such as blurry vision, fatigue, increased urination, tremors, faintness, or seizures. It is normally used along with a balanced diet and regular exercise to get better results. Your doctor may also prescribe this medication for the treatment of other unlisted conditions.
In addition to this, it can make certain cells more sensitive to insulin, allowing for more effective removal of sugar from the blood. Voglibose is a type of alpha glucosidase inhibitor which is given to help reduce the high levels of blood sugar that can occur after the consumption of a meal (postprandial hyperglycaemia). By slowing down intestinal glucose absorption, it is able to prevent the occurrence of a sudden increase in sugar levels after a meal has been eaten.
