Uses
Thrombophob Gel (Heparin Sodium IP) penetrates the skin allowing it to effectively treat thrombophlebitis and other circulatory disorders. It is also effective at helping scar tissue to heal and can even restore the natural elasticity of the skin. Anti-inflammatory properties are exhibited, as well as anti-exudative effects. This helps to relieve pain and promote the skin healing process. Patients are often treated for the topical symptoms caused by peripheral vascular disorders and to prevent the occurrence of deep vein thrombosis.
Medical studies have shown that it can improve microcirculation in patients treated with it. The active ingredient in this gel is an anticoagulant, and its mechanism of action involves causing the inactivation of thrombin and other substances that play a role in the blood clotting process. Indications for this gel include haemorrhoids (external), bed sores, varicose veins, thrombophlebitis, phlebitis, scars, strains, injuries and other conditions not listed here.
