Uses
Trapic 500 (Tranexamic Acid) is indicated for treating menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding). It may also be used in patients with bleeding disorders to prevent bleeding when a tooth is being extracted. This medicine is a type of drug known as an antifibrinolytic, which is synthesized from a type of amino acid known as lysine. It works by blocking the ability of certain enzymes to break down blood clots, and as a result of this, an improvement in blood clotting occurs.
Dosage and Administration
Trapic 500 (Tranexamic Acid) tablets are taken by mouth. Your doctor will determine the correct dosage, and factors such as your weight and medical condition will need to be taken into account when the drug is being prescribed. In some cases, it may need to be taken for as long as 5 days during menstruation. Never exceed the dosage prescribed to you by your doctor.
