Its mode of action involves causing an increase in the serotonin levels, which plays a vital role in maintaining mental balance. Patients affected by anxiety disorders may sometimes be treated with this medicine when other drugs are not effective. In addition to this, insomnia related to depression may be responsive to treatment with this drug, as it may help to improve sleep in those affected by depression.

Medical researchers have conducted trials and research on the effects of this drug if used for other conditions, which included alcohol withdrawal symptoms, diabetic neuropathy, fibromyalgia, schizophrenia, degenerative disorders affecting the central nervous system, sexual dysfunction, chronic pain and other conditions which have not been listed here.

Dosage and Administration
Patients undergoing treatment with Trazalon (Trazodone) tablets will be given clear and concise dosage instructions by their doctor before the commencement of treatment.
