Uses
Yasmin Oral Contraceptive (Drospirenone/Ethinylestradiol) is a hormonal contraceptive pill. These tablets are a combination of two active ingredients. The first ingredient, drospirenone, is a synthesized version of the female sex hormone progesterone, and the other ingredient, ethinylestradiol, is a synthesized version of the natural hormone oestrogen.
These tablets are used to prevent pregnancy, and may also be used as a treatment for moderate acne in female patients who wish to treat acne and prevent pregnancy. When taken properly, these tablets prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg, and also affect the lining of the uterus and the cervical lining, which makes it less likely that a sperm will reach the uterus, and also makes it more difficult for an egg which has been fertilized to attach itself to the uterus.
Dosage and Administration
Yasmin Oral Contraceptive (Drospirenone/Ethinylestradiol) tablets come in a pack of 28 pills.
