Uses
Arrow-Quinapril (Quinapril Hydrochloride) is used to treat hypertension and heart failure. It works by inhibiting the action of a certain enzyme (referred to as ACE by doctors). This enzyme is responsible for producing compounds that tighten and constrict the blood vessels, which leads to high blood pressure. Blocking it allows the vessels to widen, thereby leading to a drop in blood pressure, as well as a reduction of heart failure symptoms.
