Uses
Avana (Avanafil) is used to treat men suffering from impotence (erectile dysfunction). The active ingredient in this medication works in a similar way to other ED treatments. It helps to relax muscles and increase blood flow to the penis. Increased blood flow to the penis combined with sexual stimulation can help male patients to achieve and maintain an erection.

Dosage and Administration
Avana (Avanafil) comes in the form of 50mg tablets. It is essential that you consult your doctor before taking this drug. He or she will tell you the correct and safe amount to take, and you must follow the instructions provided to you. Doctors usually prescribe the lowest dose possible to treat erectile dysfunction. Patients are sometimes told by their doctor to take this drug approximately 30 minutes prior to sexual activity. Your doctor will most likely warn you to never take more than 1 tablet per day.

Side effects
Patients taking Avana (Avanafil) may sometimes experience side effects. Some possible side effects are listed here:

• Headaches
• Flushing
• Nasal congestion
• Throat pain
• Pain affecting the back

You should see your doctor if any side effects persist or worsen. If you notice other more severe side effects, such as priapism (a persistent or painful erection lasting more than 4 hours), loss of vision, hearing loss or any other side effects not listed here, you should immediately seek medical assistance.

Precautions
This medication should never be taken by patients who take amyl nitrate or butyl nitrate (more commonly referred to as "poppers") as this could be dangerous. Patients taking other drugs known as nitrates (used to treat chest pain) should also not take this medication.

If you have ever suffered from vision loss, or an eye condition known as NAION (non-arteric anterior ischemic optic neuropathy), this drug may not be suitable for you. Ask your doctor for more details.

This product is only meant for use in adult male patients. Doctors will not normally prescribe it for use in women or males under 18 years of age.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Avana (Avanafil) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:
