Uses
Avana (Avanafil) is prescribed to male patients suffering from erectile dysfunction (also referred to as impotence). This drug helps male patients to get an erection by increasing the flow of blood to the penis and helping certain muscles to relax. Together with sexual stimulation, it helps men affected by ED to maintain an erection, which in turn improves their ability to engage in sexual activity.

Dosage and Administration
Before you begin taking Avana (Avanafil) tablets, it is essential that you see your doctor. Only your doctor can tell you the correct dosage to take. You must follow his or her instructions. Swallow the tablet whole, with a glass of water, 30 minutes before you engage in sexual intercourse. Patients must note that they should never take more than 1 tablet per day, as this could be dangerous.

Side effects
There is a slight risk of side effects associated with taking Avana (Avanafil), some of which are listed here:

• Redness or warmth of the face
• Nosebleeds
• Runny or stuffy nose
• Stomach upset
• A sore back

If any of the above mentioned side effects persist or become bothersome, you should immediately consult your doctor. It is important to note that other more serious side effects may also occur as a result of taking this drug. Consult your doctor immediately if you notice decreased hearing, a painful erection that lasts more than 4 hours, sudden vision loss or any other side effects which are not listed here.

Precautions
Under no circumstances should this medication be used in combination with amyl nitrate or butyl nitrate. Use of these substances, more commonly known as "poppers" in combination with these tablets is dangerous. In addition to this, patients who are taking medications known as nitrates (such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide mononitrate) should never take this medication.

If you have undergone heart surgery within the past 6 months, it is necessary to inform your doctor of this to determine whether or not it is suitable for you.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Avana (Avanafil) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.

This medication may not be safe for all patients. Before you begin using it always disclose the following to your doctor:

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you suffer from any allergies.
• If you suffer from any other health conditions or illnesses.
• If you are using any other medicine (including all non-prescription).
• If you are using any supplements, vitamins, or herbal products of any kind.
