Uses
Poxet-60 (Dapoxetine) is used as a treatment for premature ejaculation, a condition which can affect men, causing them to ejaculate too quickly. People who are affected by this sexual function disorder may experience stress, anxiety and difficulty in sexual relationships. This medicine is in a class of drugs referred to as SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors). Clinical trials have shown that it has benefits in the treatment of PE, including helping the patient to achieve better control over ejaculation and increasing the amount of time before ejaculating.
When administered, this drug blocks the serotonin transporter, which modulates the reflex that triggers ejaculation. This in turn helps to improve IELT (intravaginal ejaculation latency time), while also increasing the patient's control over ejaculation. As a result of this, a significant improvement in sexual satisfaction can be noticed by men with PE, as well as relief from the distress this condition causes.
Dosage and Administration
Poxet-60 (Dapoxetine) tablets contain 60mg of the active ingredient. The tablets are administered orally. Generally, doctors state that the dosage is 30mg. In some cases, the doctor may increase the dosage to 60mg. Prior to commencing treatment, an orthostatic test may be required by the doctor to determine whether or not this medicine is suitable. The patient is usually told to take the tablet 1 to 3 hours before engaging in sexual intercourse. It is necessary to swallow the tablet whole alongside a full glass of water. The patient must not take the medicine more than once in any 24 hour period (or more than once per day) as this may lead to serious complications.
Your doctor may schedule medical appointments to determine whether or not treatment with this drug should be continued (usually after 4 weeks of taking it or else after the first 6 doses). Patients who are told to continue treatment will also need to visit their doctor regularly. In all cases, deciding the correct dosage will be the responsibility of your doctor. Follow all directions provided by your doctor and never adjust your dosage or exceed the recommended amount.

The list of side effects provided here is not a complete list and other reactions may also occur. Report any side effects to your doctor. Although uncommon, serious reactions may occur which require immediate medical attention. Precautions
Patients should take the medicine with a minimum of one glass of water. This will reduce the risk of fainting. There is an increased likelihood of this occurring if you have not consumed any drinks within the 4 to 6 hours prior to taking the medicine, if you have been perspiring for a prolonged period of time or if you are dehydrated.
This medicine is only used to treat men and is not for women. Females should not take it.
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
Always use Poxet-60 (Dapoxetine) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.
