Uses
Cresar-40 (Telmisartan) is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist used in the management of high blood pressure. Reducing and controlling high blood pressure helps to prevent the occurrence of heart attacks, strokes and medical problems affecting the kidneys. This drug acts on the blood vessels, helping them to widen, resulting in a decrease in high blood pressure. Other conditions may also be treated with this drug.
Dosage and Administration
Take Cresar-40 (Telmisartan) tablets by mouth. Your doctor will tell you exactly how much you need to take. It is common for adults treating high blood pressure to be told to take 40mg once per day. The tablets can be taken with or without food. However, patients should note that an adjustment of the dosage may be required, and after the initial treatment period, some patients may be prescribed a dosage ranging from 20mg to 80mg once per day.
