Uses
Dicaris 50 (Levamisole) belongs to a group of drugs known as antineoplastics. It is given as a treatment (sometime in combination with other drugs) for colon cancer. This drug works by slowing down the growth of the cancer cells in the body, thereby helping to reduce the spread of the cancer. In some cases, this medication may be prescribed for other uses.

Dosage and Administration
Dicaris 50 (Levamisole) tablets are taken by mouth, together with water. However, the individual circumstances of every patient are different, and because of this, the dosage requirements can often differ from patient to patient. Therefore, a full medical assessment will be required, to allow your doctor to determine the correct dosage. Never take more than the amount prescribed to you.

Side effects
There is a risk of side effects associated with Dicaris 50 (Levamisole) and some examples are listed here:

• Vomiting
• Itchiness
• Loose stools
• Appetite loss
• Sores on the lips

Your doctor will most likely direct you to report any side effects which occur. If you experience severe fatigue, fever, problems affecting the nervous system or any other signs of a serious reaction, see your doctor immediately.

Precautions
Patients should avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine, as vomiting, headaches, flushing and other side effects are possible if alcohol is drank during treatment.

Blood tests will be required during treatment, to determine how effectively the medication is working.

Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Always use Dicaris 50 (Levamisole) as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.
