Uses
Eukroma-Plus Cream (Hydroquinone Acetate/Tretinoin/Mometasone Furoate) is used to bleach or lighten skin that has become discoloured, either due to medication, pregnancy or trauma to the skin. Conditions treated include age spots, hyperpigmentation, melasma and dark skin caused by other conditions. This cream contains hydroquinone, which is used for its depigmentation properties.
Its mode of action involves causing a decreased amount of melanin (a pigment) to form in the skin, which results in the skin having a lighter colour. The other ingredient in this cream (tretinoin) is a form of vitamin A that has widely been used on its own to treat keratosis pilaris and acne. Together, the two ingredients in this cream help to lighten discoloured skin.
