Uses
Gold Omega 3 Plus is used to help maintain a healthy heart. This food supplement contains a high concentration of various omega 3 fatty acids which are obtained from both fish oil and Antarctic krill oil. These fatty acids are known to be important for healthy eyes, and can also lessen the risk of heart disease and circulation problems by reducing blood triglyceride (fat) levels.
Other benefits include preventing the blood for clotting too easily. Some people have also taken it to maintain healthy vision and to promote normal brain and cognitive functioning. Besides the aforementioned ingredients, this supplement also contains astaxanthin, a type of pigment which functions as an antioxidant and helps prevent cell damage. This may benefit patients affected by conditions such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's and can even provide a boost to the immune system. Phospholipids and vitamin E are also contained.
Dosage and Administration
Gold Omega 3 Plus comes in the form of capsules with a hard gelatine coating, so as to stop the active ingredients from oxidising. Your doctor will tell you the correct dosage, with factors such as your current health being taken into account. Adults are generally told by their doctor to take 1 capsule each day. You must not exceed the recommended dosage, as this will not have any additional benefits and may even lead to negative effects.
Side effects
Gold Omega 3 Plus might cause some mild reactions, such as diarrhoea or a bad smelling breath (from the fish oil). If any serious reactions occur, you will need medical treatment as soon as possible.
Precautions
Even though the fatty oils and antioxidants contained in this health supplement may benefit patients, it will not reverse the effects of an unhealthy diet. Ensure that you strictly comply with any dietary instructions that your doctor gives you.
Taking large amounts of this supplement is hazardous, as it may put the patient at a higher risk of bleeding.
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.
Always use Gold Omega 3 Plus as you have been prescribed by your doctor. Never self-medicate or change your dosage without first consulting your doctor. The correct dosage can vary depending on your health, medical history, and the severity of the condition being treated.
